    Fusebox used as j-box

Well it's not really operational. It's an old fuse panel from the 50's. the landlord took everything out of it and ran some of his new lines from the new 200 amp panel he put in the new addition into the old panel to tie into the old wiring. He redid everything in the late 90's.

    house indoor sewer smell

If it smells like a rotten egg smell, I would have the gas company come out and check your water heater and furnace. Natural gas smells like sewage also.

    Adding plug on porch

I live in PA. The indoor outlet is a standard 15 amp outlet. I went ahead today and installed a watertight outlet box on the porch. I pigtailed off of the indoor plug with 12/2 nm wire and wired it to the line side of the gfi. Tested it and everything works fine. Thanks everyone for your help!

I set the temp to 120 when I first had it installed. I also noticed that it sounds quieter than it used to...

    LP hot water heater problem

Warm air rises. So when you have a cold chimney, you get what's called a downdraft because all of the cold air is being forced down the chimney. When it's warm and the chimneys warm then the air will be going up the chimney

    Cold Air Intake Condensation Problem

Negative air pressure is another word for downdraft. Usually caused by too much wind pressure or trees around your chimney so you are not getting the proper draft in your chimney to pull all of the co2 off of your hot water tank. Instead of air going up your chimney, it is getting pushed down.

The microwave still works. My mom has it on a different plug. The fan works fine, they just never use the plug. The scary thing is he did all of the electrical in the house and one old plug in the bedroom quit working and there are a lot of circuits that are overloaded. The furnace runs their...
