    New welder outlet wiring

alaska, good ideas. I have not heard from Miller after two emails. The power numbers come from Millers specs. Why the strange plug I have no idea but it may come from the fact that this welder can work on 120 or 220 and has a plug for each.

    New welder outlet wiring

No way I am going to void the 3 year warranty on a new welder by changing the plug called for by the maker.

Wire from box to outlet is 10 gauge. I have received dif ideas on the white wire vs the ground wire to the third prong. Will not change end from welder as it is new with warranty.

    New welder outlet wiring

My shop was wired years ago for 220 but no outlet was installed. I have black, red, white and green wires in box. The outlet called for by Miller is NEMA type 6-50 that has 3 connections with 1 marked ground. Do I just put a wire nut on the white wire and call it done? Thanks for any help.

OK to blow cellulose over blown fiberglass?

My access to 1/2 of my attic is thru a 1' by 2' hatch in a second story closet. The blown fiberglass is full of mice holes and acorns and is thin(2-4"). The freeloaders have been evicted. The area is open with no walk or crawling boards and the ceilings below are textured. I would like to blow...

    Insulation Advice

I would be careful about insulating the floor with fiberglass in N.O. In SC it tends to hold moisture and provides living area for mice.

    Anyone have experience using PEX?

I have done lots of copper but have used pex for a small repair and was impressed. Used the sharkbite fitting between the polybutalene and the pex with good results.

Which shower stall would you recommend?

We had a solid base installed in a upstairs shower that weighed a good 150lbs. It does not flex!
