I have blown in insulation in my attic. I've seen where Home Depot will give you a free rental on an insulation blower if you buy a certain amount of cellulose insulation. Keep in mind that you will want to protect and not cover any ventilation that is under your eaves.
That's the way to go. It's sometimes difficult to judge just how hard it is to walk around in your attic. Unless you have a lot of room, leave it to the pros.
I agree. That's the difference between a smart DIYer and not so. Lack of experience always equals more time to do it right. Sometimes A LOT MORE TIME. I know a neighbor that just finished his bathroom in a year
I am a DIYer, But this time I gave in! Came with a great warranty and I didn't have to do it! I paid for R30, But got R40+. I keep the installers happy with drinks and food and a fan in the attic!
