Radiant Barriers, is it a sham? Logic inside...

I have found a pretty affordible source for radiant barrier material, so im going to pick up about 2000 sq ft, and do that prior to the insulation, so i wont be rolling around in 12" of cellulose

Radiant Barriers, is it a sham? Logic inside...

see, there is the issue, you had ALLLL of that insulation done at once, so its impossible to tell if just the R-B backed plywood helped or not. if you went from the original insulation, to R-B backed plywood and it made the difference, that would be more of what im trying to find out.

what type of metal did you make the frame out of? I can remember having difficulties painting galvanized steel before. the galvanization coating made it difficult for the paint to adhere smoothly.

Radiant Barriers, is it a sham? Logic inside...

Ive been looking into it, seeings as i'm going to have to do a lot of work in the attic, i would rather get all of the hot stuff done at once. I will be spraying in f-glass / cellulose insulation which i have calculated out to 10$ per bin (40 sq ft), and i will need approximately 40 bins , so a...

    New home owner here.

eh, a lot of the projects are things that will take under an hour to do. Termite barrier, and control treatment isn't even preformed by me, so i'm paying bullseye to come do it. replacing the water heater.. it takes longer to drain the 40 gallons, than it does to unhook the 4 connections...

    pool solar cover

On our old outdoor spa, we used the thin bubble/solar plastic cover, and it helped increase the temp of the water, it just doesnt look as nice as a leather hard top pool cover

    paint on leather

    paint on leather

vegetable oil. i would suggest that, due to leather is "practically" skin anyways, and its suggested to use vegetable oil to remove oil based paint off your skin. unless you want to start slathering your leather with mineral spirits :EEK

** Blocking Out the Neighbors **

have you thought about doing something like this? obviously the MS paint version may not be to scale! but some sort of brick wall to blend in with the rest of your patio scheme, and have the same angle as the roof. If its rounded off nicely in the front, with a nice top moulding, it...
