remove paint from old metal chairs

Oh yeah, and the wire wheel itself was only suppose to be used at a max of 4500 rpms. The little wires still fly off on my benchtop grinder and hit me in the face. I usually have to wear eye protection and cover my face with a bandana!

remove paint from old metal chairs

Wow, I did not realize how dangerous moving the wire wheel to my hand grinder would be. I did check and the benchtop is rated at 3400 rpms and the hand grinder is 11000 rpms. Crazy! Thanks for the advice, I will not be using that wire wheel on my hand grinder ever again. I appreciate the...

Having trouble removing paint from metal chairs that my mom gave to me. I began by using sandpaper...a lot of elbow grease not much paint removal. I then tried a scraper well it was actually a wood chisel :) Again, better but not a lot of progress. I then got out my hand grinder and took the...

plug does not fit in outlet

Actually, I purchased a power strip and the plug fits right in and did not have to change the plug at all. The wire is in good shape the outlet is for 3 prong plugs but just did not fit. I needed the extra outlets for other gadgets anyway! Thanks for all the great responses. Another...

plug does not fit in outlet

A new replacement end? Does that mean I splice it together? Or do I take the back of the grinder apart and start there? I'm sure I could stop by Lowe's and they would explain to me how to replace the old cord. Will a new cord interfere with the amount of power the machine receives? Thanks for...

plug does not fit in outlet

I recently purchased an old benchtop grinder from an estate auction. It has 1964 printed on the label. I tried to plug it into the outlet and it would not fit. The ground is round and the hole is not! I did plug it into an old extension cord and then plugged it into the wall and it works...

    old bldg vs. metal bldg.

Molson, Thanks for the information. I sent for a free information packet from the website you provided. I would possibly be spending 4-6 hours a day in the building a day with high energy children. I may end up finding an office that will work, I'm not in any hurry. Thanks for the reply. Lori

    old bldg vs. metal bldg.

Well, I just got back from looking at the place I was hoping to be my future business and was informed that the place would probably cost $300,000+ to fix it up enough to make it a business:( . He told me that the roof alone would cost at least $25,000 to fix. The broker told me that if it was...

    Moles

storyg...this is worth a try Mole Plant (Gopher Purge) This plant is known to deter moles from your yard. The roots of the plant grow 10 - 20 feet in a season and emit an odor that moles hate. My dad uses them in his garden and around his workshop. He saves the seeds off of the plants every...

Glenn, thanks for the reply. I will be taking pictures today! I thought I could use a couple of the spools for tables. Great idea about ebay! I also saw some wooden oval shaped boards approx. 3'X1' with 3 metal rods sticking out of them. I think they were used to hold small spools of...
