I have a concrete patio that has a brick overlay mortared in place.Some of the brick has cracked, probably because the concrete underneath cracked. I wan to replace the broken brick, but chiseling the mortar and brick out will be too labor intensive. I was wondering if I could gouge out the mortar with my high pressure (3000 psi) pressure washer. all opinions wanted,thanks

Run a circular saw with a diamond blade right down the mortar line. It will be so much faster.

Rent a "Rotary Hammer" with a chisel bit and let the machine do the work. If indeed the slab is cracking underneath you'll be doing this again though
