My AC unit isn’t working correctly - When it’s switched on at the thermostat, the indoor (evaporator unit?) and the condensing unit outdoors comes on like it’s working fine. However, after about 30sec, the condensing unit outside makes an odd sound(like a thermal breaker is being tripped) and stops then immediately turns back on. This cycle repeats then about every minute

Just curious if that makes sense and if it’s something I could fix and what could be the possible causes.
Thanks!

Hold up, I should’ve looked behind the electrical panel before starting this thread - Sorry!
I took the panel off and found a parted wire connecting one side of the start capacitor to the contactor. This was caused by corrosion as it’s plainly visible on the end of the wire where it parted as well as the butt connector that was connected to the contactor.
If this doesn’t fix the issue, however, I’ll repost
