Our Garage two frustrating features.

1. It is only just long enough to fit the car.
2. There is a 6" high concrete pad at the back end meaning I have to park the car in reverse to avoid hitting the sump. Then once you park the car in reverse it becomes difficult to get light to the engine bay due to the tilt door being above the front of the car.

Been considering smashing down the end wall, and concrete pad, but will need some engineering input before doing such drastic work.

Any suggestions?

I remember reading some good info somewhere on this site in a thread about adding on a few feet to your garage. Look around for it because it's worth reading, you mat get some useful tips from it.

Ya.

Anyway, smashed down the wall, smashed out the slab, will re-pour it at the same level all through, so trolley jack can now slide where it needs to go, and car has enough front end space. Same old story "Do it once do it right"
