Does replacing the hose guide require I disconnect the hose?

I think the answer is "yes" but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Two prongs broke off the hose guide and so it's not staying seated. Found the part easy enough but it looks like there's no way to get it off at the spray head end. I think I'm going to have to disconnect the hose underneath and pull it through in order to thread a new one on. Faucet is Price Pfister T529, hose guide is 951-092C. Pics attached.

Thanks!
