About 10 years ago, I used BEHR premium elastomeric paint on the stucco wall of my house. Now I am thinking to re-paint it due to concern of water leaking from rain. The water leaking is a complicated issue and hard to explain it clearly here. So let's focus on my question: should I use the same brand (BEHR) of elastomeric paint or Sherwin-Williams Conflex Sherlastic elastomeric paint? Sherwin-Williams is more expensive. But is it really much better than BEHR in terms of waterproofing in this case? In short, is it really worth? Or using BEHR should be just as good as Sherwin-Williams or others?

Welcome.

Since the composition of stucco, is inherently, water resistant, I would suggest you, 1st, address the causes of the leaks.
