I currently have engineered wood flooring downstairs. I tried refinishing it a couple of years and, although it improved, it is still not good. The damage from before we bough the house was too deep.
We're thinking of putting vinyl flooring over it but I'm concerned this will cause clearance problems with the front and garage door. The doors would be able to open but I would be able to have entry rugs or anything as such. Does anyone know if those doors can be raised? They are made of metal so I assume that cutting them is not an option.
