Hi,
Ever so often our garage door (which is motorised) doesnt close the whole way (it closes then reopens about a foot and stays there). To close it, i have had to manually overide it by pulling a cord which takes it off the motor and allows me to close the door manually.

HOWEVER, since i have done this - i have no idea how to connect it back to the motor?!? Is there a button i need to press or something i need to do?

Please can someone help?

I have a MaxiMizer garage door with a chain motor. Hope that helps?

Thanks.

Generally...
Once the release is pulled it will automatically return to the "engaged" position and all you have to do is to run the opener like you would normally and it it will re-engage itself after it runs the full normal cycle.

Does the door also have a safety-eye mechanism on it?:)

Push up on the cam that the pull rope is connected to and then manually lift the garage door until it meets up with the bracket that the rope disconnected the door from. You should hear/feel it click into place to indicate that the mechanism has re-engaged.
