Heil system will not turn on after re wire of ac outside

The ac unit was re wired and when the whole unit tried to come back on the furnace made a humming sound and a burning smell. Now the furnace will not turn on The condenser outside will come on manually by checking to see if it had power and it does. It just isn’t sending any signals to turn on ac or heat. It’s a older heil system and all fuses were checked unless there is a fuse behind the transformer but the only fuse I found was on the electronic igniter

Maybe a capacitor blew.

Call back the guy who rewired it.

how did you check your fuses?
This will require some knowledge of the working of an HVAC system.
Start tracing voltage through the system to see where it is stopping.
Check you line power, in/out on transformer, etc....
Just off the surface, it sounds like it could be a smoked thermostat.
Never know a system to be "re-wired" unless there was a problem.
What exactly did the tech "re-wire"?
