If anyone could help ......I have a side by side Hot Point refrigerator that keeps getting ice in the bottom of the freezer side. Then there is water every once in a while (enough to make a mess on the floor). We just put a new wood floor down and had to take some of it back up to replace it. My boyfriend is a good fix it yourself kinda person. So any suggestions would help. From looking on the internet I see this is something that happens with these side by side refrigerators.

Hello and welcome Lilangel:
The water, or ice accumulation comes from the auto-defrost feature. There should be a tiny drain hole in the back bottom to release that water to a pan underneath. The heat of the compressor then evaporates the water. Check for a hole and when you find it use a coathanger wire to remove the blockage.
