We are being forced to replaced our cast iron waste pipes due to them rusting through. We are using chain pipe cutters and the worst rust section is doing nothing but crushing.
Recip saw and grinder are creating sparks in the area (carbon and diamond respectively), and there is a lot of wood, (as well as other delicates in the area (power, gas, etc)so not sure that is a wise approach.
There is a duct that is making parts of it difficult to slide (hence all the cutting). Is there a way to take the pipe down easily despite all the crushing of corroded pipes?
