Hi everyone.

A window seal broke and there is some moisture inside. Does it cause any harm other than poorer insulation and fogged panes? Does it require fixing or can I just live with it?

Cheers,

Paul

You'll likely need to replace it when you sell. But you've outlined the main issues. The insulation difference would be hard to tell, but the fogginess is apparent. Are they tilt out sashes? I've ordered replacement wood window sashes at Lowe's, they popped right in. They also can do vinyl.

If there's a warranty on the window you may get a replacement from them, there shouldn't be any harm in living with it as is other than aesthetics.
