Need advice and help with tub faucet leaking

I replaced the cartridge of a hot water faucet in my tub, but the leaking is persisting. It does not appear to be an issue with the cartridge from what I can tell. I've attached pics to show where the leak is occurring and the cartridge that I purchased. Any suggestions on what I can do to stop the leak would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is there an o-ring underneath the cartridge that didn’t get replaced with the new one?

O-ring would be my first guess as well...
