It would probably do a good job but the expense of the pellets and the high initial expense of the stove, are above what you would spend to have electric heat put in the garage. Plus the hassle of it adds to the lack of enjoyment of the garage. A less expensive electric heater with a fan to spread the warm air around will be much better than a pellet stove.
