Pipe knocking ( toilet problem )

Hello guys

over the last couple days I have been hearing pipe knocking noises as the toilet has almost finished filling the tank. Would this be that I need to replace the fill valve on the toilet? The noise only happens with the toilet

Also when replacing the fill valve I would be able to replace it with a universal one by fluid master right? Here is a pic of mine now that came with toilet

My toilet ball went through a spell of bouncing off/on right at shutoff. I was trying to find a way to stop the oscillation by putting a weight on the arm but it resolved itself.
