Polyurethane Area Rug vs BBQ Sauce ???

Unfortunately I don't know what Brand of BBQ Sauce that Spilled but it left a Big Mess and was not attended to immediately upon spilling.. We tried the Rug Shampooer, Oxe Clean, Vinegar & Water.. The only thing so far is the colour of the stain has become a tad lighter.. The Rug is made of Polyurethane.. Thoughts & Ideas Appreciated, Cheers Thanks
