Rubber Smell

I have new rubber mats in my garage and the rubber smell is very overpowering. What can I use or do to take the smell down a couple of notches? I can't stand the smell of rubber.

Wait for a hot day, turn the heat up as high as you can, plug space heaters in on every breaker, let the garage heat up to "fucking hot", then turn on some fans in the windows to blow the fumes out. I've never found a way to make the smell just go away... making it outgas faster (so there's less left to smell later) is the best I've ever accomplished.
