I have some cabinet doors that I'm refinishing. We've already removed the paint down to the wood (3 layers of terrible colors) and I'm now sanding them to prep for painting. However, there's paint gunk stuck in the detailing around the glass. Not sure how to describe it; it's been routered with a fancy bit. What's the best way to sand this area?
Use a chemical paint stripper and a small brush to apply it just to that area. Then a handful of saw dust rubbed and ground into the detailed cut will work the paint loose. An old toothbrush will finish the cleanup. It's almost impossible to sand those finely detailed cuts.
