Hi all! Wondering if anyone here has ever seen "H" shaped brackets? We have a pantry with odd shaped shelves, which are made by joining different shaped shelving boards together. Where the shelves are joined in the middle of the run, where there isn't a spot to get any support from underneath, the builder used some type of "H" shaped brackets in-between the two boards to seam them together. I though perhaps the builder just took two pieces of "U" bracket and riveted them together, but upon close inspection, I can see that they are a single piece of metal, shaped like an "H". The "H" brackets are about 1-1/2 inches long and about 3/4 inch thick (the thickness of the pantry shelf wood). The "H" legs of the bracket are about 1/2 to 3/4 inch deep. part of the The builder put several along the seam where the two shelf boards meet and then screw top and bottom on both sides of the seam. Very strong. Want to add a couple of shelves to the pantry but need the "H" brackets. Checked at my local hardware store and they have no clue and I can't found anything on the internet. Hoping someone here can tell me where to get these brackets, and/or post a link to a product that can be used instead. Thanks in advance for all of your help and advice!
