Simonton Windows

Please let me know how Simonton windows should look and sound after installation. Photos attached correspond to the sash stop area and how the channels/grooves were cut out.

I don’t know the particulars on that brand, but I have to say the window design would not allow for that sound as they wouldn’t be in business. By process of elimination that tells me to look at the install.



That’s a sound of blowing over a soda bottle and something didn’t get sealed or a cap or slider didn’t get closed.

Without being there to take a rag or my hand and move it around on the window to see what is the point the sound is starting at I don’t know how to solve it or even find it.

Thanks Bud16415. We're working on the issue. I did find a person who used an incense stick to locate the air leak. The leak is where the smoke moves horizontally; where it rises upward the area is sealed. I hope this makes sense.
