Hi
I was wondering if additional venting would cause mold to grow into interior ceiling? I had aluminum soffit installed on home installed on older home installed and there were extra holes drilled into wood soffit and now there is mold inside?

One should not have anything to do with the other. But If you are lacking insulation below the air chutes then you could have cold areas where moisture could condense on the ceiling . What else was happening when you had the holes drilled.

What's your location, just a state will help.
Have you been in the attic and taken a look up there under the insulation?
Posting a picture of that area may give us a clue what's going on.
Some reasons why I ask your location and for a picture is, ice dams, soffit's covered with insulation, no baffles allowing air flow to the upper roof vent's, not enough of or no roof or at least gable vent's, not enough insulation in the attic can all cause issues like this.
Does the bathroom have an exhoust fan, and does it vent all the way out the roof or side wall?
