tankless water heater

Has anyone ever used a tankless water heater before, are these really heavy on the electricity bill?

I've only used gas ones... they're supposed to be more efficient than tanked heaters, so they shouldn't be any heavier on your bill. I had complaints about flow, temperature regulation, etc, but they were all older, non-electronic models.
