Which direction does a Window Go

I know this is a stupid question but I am not sure which way my window goes. I am installing a new pocket or retrofit window. It is just a plain one piece window. Which part faces out. the more detailed side or the flat side

Block-frame or in-frame windows will likely have weatherstripping on one side, indicating the exterior.

Thanks for such a quick answer but I do not see any weatherstripping. Look at the attached picures and let me know what you think. Picture 106 or 107

Photo #2 is the inside, because the grove in #1, is a drip rail or grove.

I don't know but it would seem that the molded convolutions would be to the outside as the inside is normally trimmed with wood moldings.

I am not sure either but I went with Snoonyb as it seemed to make sense that you would want the drip rail to the outside. I just hope someone doesn't come along and tell me that I put my windows in backwards
