I only know that the a/c is at least 10 years old and the lights were dimming at first when we moved in. I replaced the capacitor and lights stopped dimming for 3 days. I made sure everything in house was off during testing. Hvac tec came out for free just to test capacitor and said I installed...
That is it. No matter what I did the kit would not fit. A plumber came out and said he can't even tell what brand it is. Recommends putting in a whole new spout/spigot 150.
I put the old graphite nut part back in for now and will try string later. The washer include to keep the new graphite in place is too big and slides down the stem so the must be the wrong kit.
I bought the kit for a 300 and I guess I was wrong. The parts don't really fit right. The only one that seemed fine was the rubber seal on the end. Now it leaks out the handle no matter how tight it is. Posting better pics soon. The screw to install the handle that came with kit is too big also.
I read yesterday that there is a chimney cap seal you can paint on and it lets water out but not in. Does anybody have the name of it? We just moved into the house about a month ago in Bonham Tx. We may never need the fireplace but I don't want water getting in the top in the cracks and...
Thank you both for the help. A few of my locks came with the plastic cap but are way to big. I'm just now learning more a bout home repair. All of our outlets wiring is reversed lol.
I have notcied that newer homes are I guess, sealed behind where dead bolt goes in and regular log goes in. Mine are all open so you can drop pennies or junk into door frame. I feel air coming in from them. Is there a super cheap way to seal them that look decent? Thanks ahead of time.
Thanks. I will have to try it. I just tried one of those inflatable air wedges and it might work but it puts pressure on everything so not a good idea.
Our kitchen cabinets are right behind it. I would have to remove the lazy susan under cabinet etc. I may have to try what you mentioned. Best part is that if I mess up the wall is that nobody would see it lol. We are low income right now so I can't pay anybody to remove the sharkbite etc. The...
I'm tempted to do it the easy way I just thought of but I'm sure it will bite me later on. Completely fill wall with grocery bags I have to where the pipe can't move backwards. Or just install a 2x4 in there somehow.
I want to slide on a new spout but the pipe moves back into the wall and I only have about 5 inches of space to try and slide something into the wall before a tile is replaced. I read somewhere that there was a piece of metal you can buy that grips the pipe and keeps it coming sliding back into...
