Hello, I am new here and new to " doing it myself " I just moved into a condo with my fiance and I am slowly but surely becoming a spackling expert . I am attempting to install a pendant lamp in my dining room and need some help figuring out the wiring. The wires that are hanging from the ceiling are as follows : Two (2) red wires twisted together and capped, Two (2) black wires twisted together and capped, Two (2) white wires that are not "twisted" together at the ends. There is also the ground wire (bare thick copper wire that is not attached to anything, it is just twirled around at the top. My question is which of these wires do I use when installing the lamp ?
Thanks in advance !!
I did a little browsing and I now know that I have a three way switch, There is a light switch next to the entrance door and a switch next to the kitchen entrance that operate the same light, I hope that helps you to help me.
