Good Day, I just want to make sure I am reading this schematic correctly.
Light Switch (Input Power-probably black-I haven't verified yet) connects to the Heater/Fan Unit Blue Wire.
Vent Switch (a black wire on back of Switch control) connects to the Heater/Fan Unit Black Wire
Heat Switch (on switch control) connects to Red Wired on the Heater/Fan Unit
White Wire (from the Main source panel) connects to all white wires (the three coming off Heater/Fan Unit & the white wire from the power in from panel.
Question 1: Where do all the white wires connected? In the switch box or in the 4x4 junction box? If the power feed (black) from the main panel is fished down wall to connect to the top switch on diagram how is that same Romex wire (Now the White wire) connected to all the other whites? I guess I just use a wire nut and pigtail it to make it long enough to feed to the 4x4 box in attic where the Heater/Fan Unit is?
Question 2: Can I use #12 with Ground instead of the suggested #14 gauge and is a 20 amp breaker sufficient? My feed wire from breaker only has a Black, White, Green an
Question 3- I should use a junction box correct? I was looking for answers else where and saw people wiring straight from the main feed directly to the heater unit but I felt for safety it should go through a 4x4 junction box maybe a deep one
Question 4: Yellow wire nuts? except for the green wire nut for the ground..the #awg 18 wires may need orange?
Question 5: What type of Switch do I need to get. I guess the style should be rated for a Heater Ventilation Fan rated at 20 amps/110/120 volts one phase.
Anything else I may need to know?
Thank you so much for this forum and for all the professional and experienced advice. Have a great day. Lisa
