I build and maintain all my own stuff. I find that is the fun part. If you build it yourself, it brings on a different sense of pride, over buying one. Driving them ain't bad either.:thumbsup:

This maybe a little late, but yes you can get just 220v single phase out of a three phase generator. You will only use two of the three leads coming off the power end. Travis

If room is a problem, the gate could be made to pivot on the bottom corner. You can use a few of those shocks that are on the rear lift gate of a suv or small car trunk. Instead of a rolling or sliding gate, if it lifted from one side or the other, it would save room, and make it look kinda...

I got some cables in the trunk. We'll get it goin.

They wouldn't have to be real, but they might complement the chrome cover.:D

A set of 3" duel pipes out each side might look pretty cool.

I ran gas to my shop, and used 1" steel black pipe. Some states will allow pvc, but it is not a good idea, and can be dangerous. It's not that hard to do.
