Not unusual for this to happen in winter , when in heat pump mode . Ours have a dry mode , but have never used it . Typically , low refrigerant will cause icing on the indoor coil , when running A/C mode . Not on the outdoor unit . I would power it down , wait a few minutes , power it up and see if it persists . I do not know id a " stuck " reversing valve would cause it ? Best of luck to you , Wyr God bless
