Hi all: My wife and I are recently retired, and purposely purchased a 1920's era home in a relatively small town in Washington State. The house has some issues, but I have lots of time on my hands so would like to slowly bring it back into shape. In general I have some skills in most fields. I have build several storage sheds, in the 10' x 10' range, and wired them myself. My brother was an electrical contractor and I worked with him installing and updating wiring systems, so I would say that electrical work is one of my stronger skills. I have basically "dabbled" in most all different areas, including basic carpentry, plumbing, etc. I am a fast learner and am always curious and up to new challenges. The house we purchased is going to be a real project, so I joined this website to sort of "pick the brains" of those of you that enjoy helping out us newbies. I look forward to posting some of the challenges I am discovering with this house. I do (and will) have lots of questions and problems. I will start an album to help display the many issues I face, and look forward to any and all help I can get.
Thanks!
