I'm venturing out to some books stores around town this afternoon to pick up a book or two on garages. I heard The Ultimate Garage Handbook is a good one so I'll look for that one. Any other recommendations?
Are there any magazines out there that you guys know of dedicated solely to garages? I'm so tired of searching through endless home improvement magazines!
I was thinking that it would be really cool to build some lights into the flooring of my garage to eliminate having to pull a light down there when working under the car. Although, I have no ideas of how to effectively go about it. Any ideas?
I am in the process of replacing all my old outlets and switches in the garage. When I went to replace the switches, I found that many of them black, white, and red wire. Just wondering what the red wire is for?
Does anyone on here have a Snap On or Mac stainless steel top on a toolbox? I am wondering if they dent easily or not? How do they compare to a wood top? Thanks!
Unfortunately I dropped my dial indicator. The pin moves fine but the dial is not working at all. I brought it to the local parts store and they told me that they could send it off repair but I'm afraid it will never be the same. Would my best best be to just buy another one?
I go through long periods of times where I don't use some of my tools. They start get rusty and gross quickly out in the garage. I was wondering if storing the tools in a bath of WD40 or oil would keep them from getting nasty for later use. Or would some kind of air tight container do the trick...
