1900 Townhouse Homeowner, remodeler

I bought a c.1900 Single family semi-detached house in a not bad/not great area of York, PA. I've refinished the first floor hardwood floors, but am accumulating ideas for renovating the rest of the house. I'm looking for period examples to either return it to somewhat original looks, and/or to make improvements that don't ruin the character of the house while updating it and making it livable in current times. I'm here looking for answers to questions and to get ideas for how to proceed on my projects.
