2 story garage

What are your thoughts on a 2 story garage? The main level being the entry level and a lower level like a basement. I want to park the cars on the main level and have a game room/lounge room on the lower level.

What would need to be done to make sure the main level in sturdy enough to support the weight of the cars?

It wold have to be engineered by an architect to ensure your car doesn't end up on the pool table.

A much easier and cheaper is to go up, the main level being the garage part at ground level then an upstairs level, either a full second floor or a modified loft attic area for a lounge party area.
