Door Question

I have a 16' garage door that I am going to install on the open part of my garage. I have to buy all the hardware, rollers,track, etc.
My question is, will a garage door opener pull this door up and down without the spring assembly? I am talking about the assembly that goes up top with the cables on it.

I don't think any door openers are meant to work without springs...
