Hi all, I am building a 10x10 shed, pressure-treated 4x4s sitting on pier blocks. I realized I didn't use any separation between the concrete block and the sitting 4x4. Do you think I should take it apart and add a sill seal between the pierblock and 4x4? Thanks in advance for your input. Simone
I agree the PT should hold up fine for a very long time as it is not in contact with soil.
I built my deck similar to how you are framing the floor and it was all made from PT that I salvaged from a deck that was already up for 10-15 years and it has served me well for close to another 10 years with no sign of any problems. I have a 6000 pound hot tub sitting on it with lots of dampness.
