We are planning to purchase an ERV for our 2800 sqft home (ZIP code 94022). We have narrowed down the search to the following two units: Broan ERV140TE or Broan ERVH100S. We did consider more efficient and more expensive units like Ultimate Air or Zehnder, but they either have very long wait times (back-ordered by 4-6 months) or they made purchasing a big hassle.
The data I could not find is the noise level of ERV140TE . While ERVH100S is marketed as ultra-quiet at 2.5 sones, there is no data for ERV140TE. It probably means ERV140TE noise level is high-enough not to mention anything about it. Does anyone have any experience with either of these units? How are the noise levels? Or, any other pros and cons?
