Trying not to screw things up worse
One of the hinges on the corner cabinet in the kitchen broke. It's the kind of hinge that swings more than 160 degrees, because it holds a 2-piece folding door that conceals a lazy susan.
I've measured the distance between the screws that attach the hinge both to the cabinet and to the door, but I have no idea how to measure how many degrees open the hinge is meant to swing. It seems like it basically swings open 180 degrees but I don't see any hinges on Amazon with degrees that go that high. The highest I've seen is 160. Is that good enough or would that hinge just get over-stressed and break eventually (the way this last one did)?
Is there a way to measure this? Is there a way to tell just by looking at the hinge? Is it standardized or something to where all those kind of hinges have the degrees written on them somewhere?
This is one of those weird things where it seems obvious until I start really looking at it.
