I'm getting a new roof installed this spring but recently we just had a heavy snow and deep freeze happen which caused an ice dam to form on the back of my house. This ice dam has caused damage to the siding, j channel, and window sill below it. It also bent the gutter below it. I'll be talking to my roofer about this before they install the new roof to see what they suggest but I thought I'd ask the forum for some suggestions also. The roof in the back were the ice dam is. It's a rubber roof that is a bump out from an A frame roof. There is no soffit. It is a finished heated attic with a bathroom. I put some pics below. From my research it seems my only option is to try an insulate which will require me to cut holes in the dry wall. Just looking for an advice or suggestions.
Thanks,
