I was reading about the little pressure pump thingies that won't keep the CO₂ in tonic water due to the law of partial pressures. So I am thinking squeezing the bottles won't suck the CO₂ out either so I am trying to put more squeeze on the bottle after each pour.

As a side it won't work for cans;

I used to have a minor problem with gin and tonic until I discovered that I liked limeade and tonic just as well.

If one orders a Rémy Martin Presbyterian a good bartender might suggest he find another establishment the thought being that one doesn't mix a call-whisky with the sweet and bubbly that's what well-whisky is for. A bartender once told me that even for neat or on the rocks well-whisky might be substituted after the first three drinks or so. The implication being that whisky snobs are not the experts they think they are.

BTW I'm saving beer cans to make my own choir arrangement for Christmas. I already have one!.
