This fall, I will begin to lay an interlocking brick walkway next to my house. I plan to dig down, fill with gravel, tamp, level, tamp and then set the pavers down. My question has to do with digging down. I'll be doing it by hand. After getting the locate done, when I dig down, is there any risk of damaging the parging or foundation?
To add to this fun, I have 2 posts holding up a roof overhang. My plan is to simply dig down the area near it, but not disturb it. I am hoping they went down a few feet with the sonotube that they used.
