We’ve got two locks on exterior doors that are awkward and need to be replaced. One is from the kitchen to the back deck, and the other is from our bedroom to the same deck. The bedroom one is broken, and not lined up. It’s a weird setup in that to lock the door, you lift up on the handle to move the bolt in to the jamb. Then to set the lock, you turn the lower knob in the attached pics to secure it. The lower knob in the bedroom actually falls out when moved...
All the bore holes are drilled in different places compared to regular knobs, so we can’t just put new knobs on.
We’ve been to the local hardware store, and a speciality knob store, and they’ve never seen a lock like this.
Does anyone have a suggestion on what to look for if we go back to the same setup?
thanks
