I found this in my tool chest.

Do not recall ever having used it.

I think I got it from my father.

Is it used in tight spaces?

They have a number of applications.
I had several, as a U.S. Navy SOG, SA-E6, sleeved with surgical tubing, and used to insert and remove screws in high voltage sonar and associated electronic equipment.
