Treating the deck in the fall?

Hi everyone

Just wondering if fall is a good or bad time to treat the deck? By treating the deck I mean putting some product on it so that it's more resilient to water.

The deck is about five years old.

The temperature in my area is lingering around ten degrees, and it's rainy at times...
