My house is on a concrete slab. The floor in the living room is covered with vinyl flooring simulating hardwood.

Recently, the vinyl floor is bubbling up a bit in one spot. On inspection there is a very small quantity of water pooling there, about the amount you might accidentally spill from a cup.

This is 10' from the Kitchen sink (on the other side of a partition) which is the nearest water source. There are no other nearby sources of water.

Any ideas what could be happening?

We had issues before with our water filter, but that water pooled in the Dining room.

If you soak up the water does it eventually reappear? If so, how soon? Could be a broken water line or excessive moisture from below the slab being wicked up.
