Waterproofing walls

I will be washing my cars in one part of my garage so I was wondering what the best way to waterproof walls is and if anyone on here has experience in doing so?

what kind of sheetrock did you use, you should propably use greenboard it will resist the mold and mildew

The biggest thing here is to seal every nick and cranny so no water will seep in anywhere. Useing a baseboard trim caulked to the floor and wall and a couple of coats of oil based semigloss would be my choice if doing this.
