Shan, I'm glad you're OK. Tornadoes are awful.
Yesterday I brought my friend with me to HomeDepot (after stopping at Samsclub , PetsMart, and getting chinese takeout) to pick up a 75lb glass block window for the guest bathroom. Friend dropped off the food at his house and then came out with me to unload the window for me bc he knew there was no way in hell I could lug that sucker. Dropped him off at home and helped him carry in some stuff. Cooked for Mom. She was pissy bc she was working on taxes and got mad about me not hearing something she said with her back turned to me while the TV was on. She knows I'm half deaf in my left ear and my left ear was facing her. She eventually calmed down.
Something cool I hadn't remembered was that her paternal grandmother had the same birthday as my sister. I need to start recording her telling me stories about her grandparents. Her dad's side of the family had good senses of humor.
So, today Mom asked me to bring her purse to her since she needed something out of it. Then she called me in and said "Guess what I found in my purse" and pulls out the envelope with all of her tax forms. The ones she accused me of losing and had screamed and yelled at me about and that I spent restless nights worrying about and had finally just retrieved all of the information for her again. Yeah. Kicker is, I had asked her to look in her purse before and she refused. They'd been in there all that time because she brought them with her when she went to the bank. Something about IRS mandating her to remove x amount of $ from the IRA to transfer to savings so they could tax it. At least I'm vindicated now.
Took my brother to urgent care because is leg is getting worse. They said to go to ER. Achilles tendonitis. Prescribed Naprosyn, rest, ice, compression, elevation, and to stay off of it as much as possible. Wrote him a note for work to say he needs to sit. Also told him to get a lace up brace. I stood in line at the pharmacy while he rolled around in a riding cart. Couldn't find any braces in the pharmacy area so I told him to check sports area. He found one there.
My ankles and feet are swollen so I'm resting with my feet up.
