When painting interior w texture,how many coats do you put on?? Everytime I paint new drywall with texture,I prime and then paint. But for whatever reason the first coat always comes out uneven.
Any suggestions??
I have been told to locate my GFI at the end of a run of outlets. That way all of them before it will be protected.
But is there a limit to how many they can protect??

I have some rot where my cedar siding is contacting the concrete. apparently the previous owners added about 2" of comcrete over a previous 2".
I intend to fix all the problems this summer. So how do keep the water from going into the cracks??metal flashing?
I am getting to the step of insulating my office area. I have R11 with paper barrier. I want to make it as air tight as possible. Can I put plastic also over the insulation?? what are the ramifications if I did??

My house was built in 1976. the "sheathing" is black fiberboard. I have heard some refer to it as sound board. I hate this stuff.

I have always painted my molding in the garage and then install and touchup. Bad thing is whe nI cut it I have to drag it back and forth to the saw.
I waa thinking that cutting and installing,then paint might be a better way.
